Site research for the water element, this improvisation was performed in the freezing rain with the snow, condensed forms of water. I was initialing movement from the kidneys, spine and anus and bones. The shivering, the color black, and night are all qualities corresponding to the water element “crone” character. This exploration was then presented at Movement Research at Judson Church, see video titled Seed. A part of a larger process of researching the body in relationship to the elements water, wood, wind, fire, air, earth, and metal for a installation performance piece with the working title "The Discarded and Cultivated Breath".
